The New Civil Rights Movement - Same sex marriages have the potential to challenge laws and customs surrounding marriage, divorce, child custody and domestic violence that currently discriminate against men on the basis of gender. Straight men have much to gain from these relationships, which may provide a legal foundation to challenge laws that unfairly target and punish men, and their children.

AFLA Featured Petitions for Family Law Justice
Civil Rights are violated, Human Rights are violated; and the United States Constitution is not on the agenda of the Family Courts.
The people of the United States ask that all Family Court files, case files, court tapes, and videos be put into the investigation. The fact is Family Court documents will show that they are mishandled and manipulated.
Civil Rights are violated, Human Rights are violated; and the United States Constitution is not on the agenda of the Family Courts.
The People of Miami-Dade County, Florida and of the United States of America are being abused by "Absolute Judicial Discretion" Powers of Family Court Judges in CLOSED courtrooms.
Why are Mothers winning custody in Family Court? Why are Fathers “allowed” to see their kids every other weekend and required to pay child support, or not allowed to see their children at all? Many Fathers have lost custody of their children just because they didn’t take the time to find out the rules of the Family Law System.

Florida Governor Rick Scott Signs Grandparents' Rights Bill

The bill states, "Upon the filing of a petition by a grandparent for visitation, the court shall hold a preliminary hearing ... the court may award reasonable visitation to the grandparent ... if the court finds by clear and convincing evidence that a parent is unfit or that there is significant harm to the child, that visitation is in the best interest of the minor child, and that the visitation will not materially harm the parent-child relationship."

WANTED ~ Pitch us your investigations on disparities in State Courts. Dec. 10 Deadline

Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting is launching a new reporting initiative to examine how the poor and minorities fare in state courts around the country.
Impressive work – uncovering system-wide disparities and issues related to court fines, bail, jury selection and sentencing – already is being done. But what problems aren’t being identified? What stories aren’t being told?
We are looking for reporting proposals that dive deeply into a region or reach broadly across the country, particularly those with potential for radio. (If you have radio skills, that’s a plus.) We plan to establish reporting partnerships in some cases, award freelance contracts in others. This initiative will continue into 2017, so ambitious ideas are welcome.
Send us a one-page pitch that also addresses these basic questions:
Will this uncover a hidden problem and/or tell our audience something new?
Who is being harmed and how?
Can you quantify the problem?
Who is responsible, and can you prove it?
If you already have begun reporting on this topic or it builds on past work, include this information as well:

The Federal Member for Dawson said he would lobby with Victorian independent Senator John Madigan to have the definition of child abuse widened to include parental alienation.

Tell Them Now.
#TellThemNow Don’t hold back, tell your dad why you’re grateful.
We asked ten fathers and their children to participate in a short video. That's all they were told. The result is powerful and surprised even the participants.
We hope it will inspire you to pick up the phone and call your dad. Tell him why you’re grateful; tell him why you’re proud. He might just do the same. So much in life goes unsaid. Vulnerability and gratitude can crack us open in the best of ways.

January 24th, 2015 - I expressed my concerns for Zoraya's behavior to three Supervised Visitation Monitor/Reporter after visit with daughter. For Zoraya's safety and well-being!! The Supervised Visitation Supervisor Linda Fieldstone referred me back to Judge Manno-Schurr and she unjustly suspended my visits and contact with Zoraya..It's okay to be with one of my children but not the other???
Judge Valerie Manno-Schurr said to me on February 3rd, 2015 to "find a 'qualified' monitor for supervised visitation and you can see your daughter again" ~ Last contact January 24th, 2015. See February 23rd Video testimony...

There are many parents out there who for no other reason than a relationship has failed are being denied access to their own children. Our own children are being abused, used as weapons by a disgruntled ex-spouse. Here's your chance to say "No"

"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home." (Tecumseh).
